Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA)
for real cell size and in realistic sintering environment
TGA measurement on real cell size and in realistic sintering environment:
Fiaxell's system for TGA measurement on real green cell size and in realistic sintering environment. Green cell up to 180 X 180 mm can be installed in the systemFiaxell's TGA system follows the binder burn-out of green cells directly in a realistic sintering environment.
- Green cell dimension up to 180 x 180 mm
- Realistic sintering environment in between setter tiles or without cover
- User-friendly LabView software for data acquisition
- Usable with Fiaxell SOFC setup kiln
FAQ:
Q: May I place my 100 x 100 mm NiO-YSZ green cell (not sintered) in the Fiaxell thermogravimetric analyser?
A: Yes, green tapes up to 180 x 180 mm can be tested and the binder burn-out can be measured up to 1000 °C.
Q: May I cover the green SOFC/SOEC cell with a ceramic setter tile?
A: Yes, the green ceramic or metallic tape can be binder burnt out in the same and real conditions as in your industrial kiln (bell-type, muffle or tunnel furnace).
Q: Is it possible to run any kiln temperature cycle, ramping up very slowly to avoid cracks and failure in the ceramic green body, particularly in the YSZ electrolyte or the NiO-YSZ substrate?
A: Yes, the temperature schedule is set by the manual kiln controller. Fiaxell also provides a boxed controller operated from the computer, which allows to easily enter any special temperature cycle.
