As manufacturer and supplier, Fiaxell is proposing a flexible SOFC / SOEC short stack tester kit that can be directly installed on to the Open Flanges™ button cell test bench and which offers the following advantages:

Assembly of two cells in the SOFC / SOEC short stack tester kit. The 6 mm end plates allow to squeeze the stack and to ensure the flatness of the interconnects

Just stack it by assembling your cells, interconnects and sealings on the SOFC / SOEC test fixture platform. The kit can also be delivered mounted, ready to use for fuel cell or electrolysis mode

SOFC / SOEC stack parameters such as flow distribution, electrical contact resistance, protective coating against chromium evaporation in situ fuel processing and sealing tightness can be independently characterized and optimized

Combination of ideal and real SOFC / SOEC stack conditions, for instance Crofer 22 APU steel on anode and gold mesh on cathode

Available in Crofer 22 APU & 22H from stock or other materials (ferritic steels as K44X, nickel or copper) on request or provided from customer

Inlet/outlet: Inconel 600 tube welded to the SOFC / SOEC stack interconnect terminal with or without pure alumina tube insertion to avoid tar formation and/or chromium poisoning

Standard SOFC / SOEC interconnects pattern design available from stock for square, rectangular or circular cells with internal manifolding
